Kelly McCreary, who played Maggie Pierce on Grey's Anatomy for nine seasons, is leaving the show after her final episode as a series regular airs on April 13. McCreary's departure was planned, and her character's storyline has been building toward her exit. She will return later in the season to visit the doctors of Grey Sloan. McCreary thanked the show's creators and ABC for the opportunity to be a part of the "legendary television institution."
