Former Battlefield leaders launch new studios for next-gen online shooters.
NetEase has opened a new development studio, Bad Brain Game Studios, in Canada, which will be led by former Ubisoft Toronto producer Sean Crooks. The team is working on an open-world action-adventure game inspired by cult 1980s movies, built in Unreal Engine 5. Bad Brain Game Studios is NetEase's second developer in Canada and one of several new internal studios formed in the West.
