Tragic Medical Helicopter Crashes Claim Two Lives in Alabama.
Marc Gann, a veteran airman and Life Saver 4 pilot, was killed in a medical helicopter crash in Shelby County, Alabama. He was dedicated to saving lives and had served more than 20 years in the U.S. Army. Two other crew members were also onboard, and one remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition. The NTSB and FAA are investigating the crash, which occurred while the crew was responding to a call to extract a patient who had been hiking in the area. The original patient was transported separately to a hospital.
