New Special Prosecutors Appointed in Alec Baldwin 'Rust' Shooting Case.
The district attorney of Santa Fe County, Mary Carmack-Altwies, has stepped away from the involuntary manslaughter case against Alec Baldwin in the fatal shooting of a cinematographer on the “Rust” film set in New Mexico, and has named two new special prosecutors to handle the case. The case has faced setbacks, including the downgrading of charges against Baldwin and the resignation of the original special prosecutor. The new special prosecutors appointed are Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis.
