Tesla Warns Cybertruck Resellers of Severe Penalties

Tesla has added a section to its Motor Vehicle Order Agreement stating that early buyers of the Cybertruck who try to sell the electric pickup within the first year of purchase without written permission from the automaker could face penalties of $50,000 or the value received from the sale. Tesla may also refuse to sell future vehicles to customers who break the agreement. However, if Tesla agrees to the resale, the customer can sell it to a third party with written consent. The Cybertruck is set to be delivered to the first customers at the end of this month.

Tokyo Pokémon shop limits sales to kids, bans adults from buying cards.

Hareruya 2, a trading card shop in Tokyo, has limited sales of Pokémon cards to children junior high school age or younger to prevent scalpers from buying everything up and leaving kids unable to play the game. The store reserves the right to check buyers' IDs or other documentation to confirm they are young enough to be buying the cards. The goal is to ensure that the limited amount of cards can be enjoyed by a large number of people. The store's manager believes that such safeguards are especially important because new expansion sets for the collectible card game are released on Fridays, and adult shoppers are already at the stores before they even open on Friday morning, while all the responsible kids have to be in school.
