Ohio Father Convicted Under New Safe Firearm Storage Law After Child Shoots Loaded Gun Inside Home
An Ohio man, Matthew Rivas, was charged with two counts of negligent storage of a firearm and one count of child endangerment after a child found and discharged a loaded gun in his home. The incident was caught on video and is the first case involving Columbus City's recently-passed safe storage ordinance. No one was injured in the incident.
