The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in the past 24 hours, there were 28 combat engagements in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions. The Russian invaders launched missile strikes, used attack UAVs, and conducted air and artillery attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas. The Ukrainian Air Forces retaliated with strikes on enemy manpower clusters, while rocket troops and artillery targeted enemy artillery units. The probability of further missile attacks and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.
The Ukrainian defense forces are engaging in battles on the southern and northern flanks around the city of Bakhmut, but there is currently no intensive urban warfare in the city itself. The Ukrainian forces have seized the initiative on the battlefield, forcing the Russian invaders to withdraw some units. They are employing modern tactics and technology, such as unmanned aerial vehicles and high-precision systems, to press the enemy without incurring large personnel losses. The Ukrainian forces have also captured numerous prisoners of war, who were found to be motivated by financial gain rather than ideology. However, the Russian forces still retain their combat capability and ability to attack Ukrainian positions.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed more than 100 occupants, 20 boats, and 27 units of armored vehicles on the left bank of the Kherson region. The occupants are attempting to pull up reserves from Crimea, but in most cases, it is aimed at Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk directions. The units in the southern direction are being restored and trained for more active operations. The Ukrainian Defense Forces have eliminated about 220,450 Russian invaders since February 24, 2022.
