The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide in Ruskin after a 911 caller reported a mannequin on fire in an open field, which turned out to be a deceased person with upper body trauma. The victim cannot be identified due to the severity of the burns. Sheriff Chad Chronister called the scene "jarring" and stated that they believe it to be an isolated incident.
