Tom Petty's Family Accuses Auction House of Selling Stolen Property
Tom Petty's family has accused Boston-based auction house RR Auction of selling stolen memorabilia of the late rock legend, including clothes and other artifacts. The family is pursuing legal action against the seller and has requested potential bidders to refrain from participating in the auction until the matter is settled. RR Auction has denied the allegations and said it is cooperating with the family's probe. The items are currently being auctioned in a lot that will end on June 22. Petty died in 2017 due to an accidental drug overdose.
