Ladd gained nationwide recognition for hosting the syndicated radio show "Innerview," where he interviewed music legends such as Led Zeppelin, the Beach Boys, and John Lennon. He was well-liked among artists and even appeared in music videos and inspired Tom Petty's hit song "The Last DJ." Ladd's career spanned several radio stations, and he joined SiriusXM in 2012. He also had a presence in film and is survived by his wife, Helene.
