Tragic Drowning of Malcolm-Jamal Warner Highlights Rip Current Dangers
Malcolm-Jamal Warner died at age 54 in Costa Rica due to an accidental drowning caused by a rip tide while surfing with his daughter. He was in Costa Rica for a family vacation, and despite rescue efforts, he was found on the ocean floor and pronounced dead after CPR attempts. His body is being transported back to Los Angeles.
