MotoGP's Calm Sprint Race Theories and Future Expansion Plans.
MotoGP's third-ever sprint race at Circuit of the Americas was the calmest edition so far, with only solo mistakes causing crashes. Riders believe that more experience with the sprints has led to the action settling down, and the track's layout and high temperatures also contributed to a more peaceful race. Reigning world champion Pecco Bagnaia noted that the track had fewer points where riders could make "crazy moves," while Honda tester Stefan Bradl suggested that for most riders, there was little to gain and much to lose in the sprint format.
