The Fontainebleau Las Vegas: A 16-Year Saga Culminating in a $3.7 Billion Resort
Fontainebleau Las Vegas, a long-awaited resort that was stalled for 12 years due to the Great Recession, is finally set to open on December 13, 2023. The $3.7 billion resort will feature the iconic LIV Nightclub from Fontainebleau Miami Beach, along with two popular Miami restaurants, Komodo and Papi Steak, brought by hospitality entrepreneur David Grutman. The Vegas venues will be larger than their Miami counterparts and will be part of a collection of 36 new restaurants and bars at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. LIV Nightclub and LIV Beach dayclub will offer a unique entertainment experience, with a stadium-like design by architect David Rockwell and a focus on the DJ and stage tables. The clubs will have a capacity of about 2,000 people, half of the standard capacity on the Las Vegas Strip.
