Coast Guard rescue swimmer dies after offshore rescue mission
A U.S. Coast Guard rescue swimmer from Air Station Astoria, Petty Officer 2nd Class Tyler Jaggers, died from injuries sustained during a February 27 offshore rescue of a mariner off the Oregon coast. He was treated in Victoria, British Columbia, then at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma before passing away.
