
Coast Guard rescue swimmer Jaggers dies after medevac injuries, honored with Distinguished Flying Cross
Tyler Jaggers, Aviation Survival Technician Second Class and Coast Guard rescue swimmer with Air Station Astoria, died from injuries sustained during a February 27 medevac off the Washington coast; he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism in the rescue, and the Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer Association is coordinating support for his family as the maritime community mourns.
