Tragic Collision Claims Lives of Two Pilots at Reno Air Show
Two pilots were killed when their planes collided during the National Championship Air Races and Air Show in Reno, Nevada. The pilots, identified as Nick Macy and Chris Rushing, were both skilled pilots and winners in the T-6 Class. No other injuries were reported, and the remainder of the races were canceled. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash, which involved a North American T-6G and North American AT-6B aircraft. This is not the first fatal crash at the event, with a pilot killed last year and a 2011 incident that resulted in 11 deaths and numerous injuries.
