Police Dismantle Pro-Palestinian Encampment at Wayne State University
Early Thursday morning, Wayne State University police and the Detroit Police Department raided a pro-Palestinian encampment at the university, resulting in 12 arrests. The university had transitioned to remote classes earlier in the week and had repeatedly asked demonstrators to remove their tents. Protesters are now demonstrating outside the Detroit Detention Center. The university cited legal, health, and safety concerns for the raid.
