"Devastating Mudslides Wreak Havoc on Mulholland Drive and Surrounding Areas"
Record-setting rainfall in Los Angeles led to mudslides above and below Mulholland Drive, prompting the closure of a stretch of the road between Skyline and Bowmont drives. The rain, which brought 7.03 inches in downtown LA over two days, also caused slides on residential streets in several canyons. With more rain expected, flood watches are in effect for parts of Southern California, raising the threat of further slides on already soaked hillsides.
