Lawsuit Filed Over Brittanee Drexel's Murder and Hotel's Negligence
A new civil lawsuit has been filed by Dawn Pleckan, the mother of Brittanee Drexel, who disappeared in Myrtle Beach in 2009 and was found dead 13 years later. Pleckan is suing Bar Harbor Resort, where Brittanee was staying, and the Smith family partnership that owns the hotel. The lawsuit seeks justice and answers regarding the circumstances surrounding Brittanee's kidnapping and murder. Raymond Moody, a longtime suspect, confessed to killing her. Pleckan and her attorneys are urging anyone with information to come forward. Moody has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder.
