Nicholas Rossi, an American fugitive who allegedly faked his own death and fled to Scotland, has been extradited back to the US to face rape charges. Identified in a Glasgow hospital while being treated for Covid-19, Rossi had claimed to be an Irish orphan named Arthur Knight, but his identity was confirmed through tattoos and fingerprints. He lost his final appeal in Scotland and was flown back to the US on a private flight. Rossi is wanted in Utah for a rape case and has a history of sexual imposition and public indecency convictions. French actor Gérard Depardieu has been accused of sexual misconduct by 13 women from 2004 to 2022, according to a report by French investigative outlet Médiapart. The allegations include nonconsensual touching and groping, sexual comments, and “persistent groaning noises”. Depardieu is currently facing rape charges brought by French actor Charlotte Arnould in 2018. This is not the first time Depardieu has been at the center of a sexual misconduct controversy, having previously made controversial comments about rape in a 1978 interview.
