Israeli forces fatally shoot Palestinian at Rantis checkpoint.

Israeli forces shot and killed a 29-year-old Palestinian man, Mahdi Biadsa, at the Rantis checkpoint in the occupied West Bank. The Israeli military claimed that Biadsa attacked a soldier and attempted to steal his weapon. Tensions are high in the region as Israel expands its military raids in the occupied territory. Since the start of the year, Israeli forces have killed at least 158 Palestinians, including 26 children.
