Apex Legends Season 20 introduces Legend upgrades, a revamped Ranked system, and various balance updates including changes to shields, crafting, and weapon buffs and nerfs. The patch notes also detail performance mode enhancements, new tags, and changes to clubs, events, maps, modes, and quality of life improvements.
Respawn is overhauling the ranked system in Apex Legends for Season 20, resetting everyone's rank to 1 RP and focusing on "trust and accessibility." LP has been removed, RP is back, and players will now earn points for eliminations and bonuses for taking out high-ranked opponents. Matchmaking will be based on RP value, entry costs for ranked tiers have increased, and provisional matches and trails have been removed. Ranked splits are returning, and players of any rank can now queue together, with the squad being matched based on the player with the highest RP.
