Amtrak Restores Service Following Server Issues.
Amtrak is restoring service after a series of train cancellations, primarily in the Midwest, due to communication issues with a rail-industry control system that connects Amtrak trains to freight railroads. The system issues began early Friday morning and caused several trains, many in and out of Chicago, to be canceled. Amtrak's alert feed on Twitter was still announcing cancellations on Sunday morning.
