Mandy Patinkin has joined Amazon's God of War TV adaptation to play Odin, the All-Father and a key antagonist to Kratos. The series, based on the PlayStation game, has a two-season order with pre-production underway in Vancouver. Ronald D. Moore is writer/showrunner, and the project is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios with involvement from PlayStation Productions and Tall Ship Productions; the cast also includes Ryan Hurst as Kratos, Olafur Darri Olafsson as Thor, Teresa Palmer as Sif and Max Parker as Heimdall, with Frederick E.O. Toye directing the first two episodes.
