"Alleged Mexico Tour Agency Accused of Machete Murders"
Police in Cancun have arrested six members of a drug gang accused of killing and dismembering five people with machetes, while also uncovering a fake tour agency used as a cover for drug sales. The gang operated a call center offering sports equipment and tour packages to tourists, but allegedly conducted drug deals over the phone and made deliveries by motorcycle. This comes after the recent shooting deaths of an American woman and a man from Belize in Tulum, believed to be linked to a dispute between drug dealers. Despite warnings and travel alerts, foreign tourists continue to flock to Mexico's Caribbean coast, with Cancun being a top destination.
