Raiders launch blockbuster free-agent spree to reboot roster
On day one of the NFL’s legal tampering period, the Las Vegas Raiders opened with a league-high 111.91 million in cap space to revamp the roster, led by center Tyler Linderbaum’s three-year, 81 million deal—the richest for an interior offensive lineman. The spending continued with Quay Walker (three years, 40.5 million, 28 million guaranteed) and Nakobe Dean (terms undisclosed), plus Kwity Paye (three years, 48 million, 32 million guaranteed), Eric Stokes (three years, 30 million) and Malcom Koonce (one year, 11 million), along with an offensive upgrade via Jalen Nailor (three years, 35 million, 23 million guaranteed). Las Vegas also has more cap room and the No. 1 pick in next month’s draft, reportedly targeting Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, as it aims to return to the playoffs.
