Tesla Cracks Down on Low-VIN Cybertruck Flippers with Lawsuits
Tesla has updated its Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement for the Cybertruck, stating that early owners will be prohibited from reselling their vehicles for the first year after delivery. If a situation arises where the owner needs to sell the vehicle within the first year, Tesla demands the right of first refusal before the car is sold to the public. Failure to comply may result in Tesla suing the owner for $50,000 or more and potentially refusing to sell them any future vehicles. While such clauses are common in the rare car world, they are less common for vehicles with mass appeal.
