Washington Monument to Illuminate for America's 250th Celebration
The White House announced that the Washington Monument will be illuminated for five nights starting New Year's Eve to kick off America's 250th birthday celebrations, featuring projection-mapping displays and fireworks, as part of a year-long series of national events.
