The NFL Network and ESPN provided excellent coverage of the NFL Draft, with the former producing a perfect TV moment when Kansas State running back Deuce Vaughn was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round. The NFL Network's production truck kicked into high gear, showing multiple highlights of Vaughn and a live shot of the Cowboys draft room where viewers saw Cowboys assistant director of college scouting Chris Vaughn overcome with emotion. ESPN also smartly went long with the Vaughn selection, showing four highlight packages. Both networks are excited about next year's draft in Detroit.
