Prime Video 4K now gated behind a pricier Ultra tier
Amazon is raising Prime Video prices in the US by moving 4K UHD streaming behind a new Prime Video Ultra tier, priced at $5/month (up from $3), starting April 10. The Ultra plan also increases downloads from 25 to 100 and allows up to five concurrent streams (vs. three). Standard Prime members will no longer get UHD content, and Dolby Vision is available on Ultra while Dolby Atmos remains exclusive to the $5 tier; this price move mirrors recent hikes at other streamers.
