Woman convicted of sexual assault after posing as man to prey on teen girl.
A 21-year-old British woman, Georgia Bilham, was found guilty of sexual assault by kissing and not guilty of 16 other sex charges after pretending to be a man named "George Parry" on Snapchat to trick a visually-impaired 19-year-old girl into a relationship. Bilham claimed she got trapped in a "web of lies" and never wished to change her gender identity. The prosecution argued that the relationship was based on a false pretense, and therefore, the victim did not give true consent. Bilham will be sentenced on July 19.
