'Below Deck' Couple Pleads Not Guilty in Prescription Drug Scheme
Dr. Francis Martinis and his wife, Jessica, who appeared on the Bravo reality show "Below Deck," have pleaded not guilty to charges of stealing the identities of other cast members in an alleged scheme to obtain prescription drugs. The couple is accused of using the personal information of cast members to write fake prescriptions for oxycodone. The scheme was uncovered when Jessica attempted to fill a bogus prescription at a pharmacy, prompting the pharmacist to call the police. The investigation revealed that the doctor had sent numerous fake prescriptions over a two-year period. The couple has been charged with multiple felony counts and released on their own recognizance.
