Tragic Grenade Explosion Leaves Father Dead and Children Injured
A father was killed and his two children were injured when a hand grenade exploded in an Indiana home while they were going through a grandfather's belongings. The father was identified as Bryan Niedert, 47, and his two children, a 17-year-old son and an 18-year-old daughter, were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds. The Porter County Bomb Squad was called to secure the scene and determine if any additional explosive devices were present.
