Ex-Rep. Michael Grimm Paralyzed in Polo Accident
Former U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm, a New York Republican, is paralyzed from the chest down after a horse-riding accident during a polo tournament. Grimm, who resigned from Congress in 2015 following a tax fraud conviction, is receiving treatment at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Friends have set up a GoFundMe to cover his medical expenses, which are expected to be substantial. Grimm, a former Marine and FBI agent, had been an avid polo player. The fundraising effort has raised over $260,000 so far.
