Uncovering Hidden Patterns in Chess Openings: A Groundbreaking Study
Researchers analyzed millions of chess games and developed a new classification method that identified ten distinct clusters of chess openings based on similarities in playing behavior. The method can complement the standard classification and be applied to similar games such as Go or Stratego.
