Drivers are divided on the use of the "dragon weave" and pitlane entry usage during the Indy 500. The manoeuvre involves swerving wildly off Turn 4 and into the pitlane entrance to deter those following from using their slipstream. While legal under current rules, some drivers have expressed concerns about the safety of the move, particularly in crowded situations. Sunday's race winner Josef Newgarden admitted he doesn't "love" doing the move but sees it as necessary to win. Runner-up Marcus Ericsson and third-placed finisher Santino Ferrucci both said it's a driver's choice and they wouldn't call a rule on it for track limits.
