Nintendo's Gary Bowser released from prison.
Console hacker Gary Bowser has been released from federal prison after serving over two years for his role in Team Xecuter, a hacking group that made and sold mod chips for various consoles. Bowser was extradited to the US from the Dominican Republic to serve his 40-month sentence, which has been cut short due to good behavior. However, he still owes Nintendo $14.5 million in restitution for settling a piracy lawsuit and a separate federal court order.
