Andre Lotterer and Pipo Derani have been announced as the first drivers for Genesis Magma Racing's LMDh program, set to debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2026. Both drivers bring significant experience, with Derani joining from Action Express Racing and Lotterer from Porsche Penske Motorsport. Additionally, Genesis will partner with IDEC Sport for a 2025 European Le Mans Series LMP2 entry, featuring drivers Jamie Chadwick, Logan Sargent, and Mathys Jaubert as part of their "trajectory program."
Pipo Derani crashed out of the lead in the 12H Sebring race after making contact with another car, causing his Cadillac to flip and land on top of the tire barriers. Despite the dramatic crash, Derani walked away unharmed. Felipe Nasr now leads the race, followed by Wayne Taylor Racing and BMW M Team RLL. In other classes, Felipe Fraga leads LMP2, Michael Christensen leads GTLM, and the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo leads GTD.
Pipo Derani secures pole position for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race at Road America, setting a quick lap time of 1:47.730 in his No. 31 Action Express Racing Cadillac. Matt Campbell in the No. 7 Penske Porsche 963 came in second, followed by Sebastien Bourdais in the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac. George Kurtz took pole in the LMP2 class, while Alex Riberas and Madison Snow claimed pole positions in the GTD Pro and GTD classes, respectively.
