Nintendo Switch 2 digital games to be cheaper than physical copies in US from May 2026
From May 2026, new Switch 2 titles released in the US will have lower digital MSRPs than physical copies, starting with Yoshi and the Mysterious Book (digital $59.99 vs physical $69.99). Older titles aren’t affected. Nintendo says the difference reflects format production and distribution costs, digital prices won’t rise overall, and future pricing will consider profitability, installed base, and market conditions amid ongoing cost pressures.
