Gun-related incidents plague Dunlap, Illinois.

A 22-year-old woman, Alexis Boland, was declared brain-dead after being shot multiple times in a Dunlap apartment on Friday. The suspect, Walter J. Artis, fled the scene but was later apprehended with a gun on his person. Boland had previously registered to be an organ donor, and an autopsy is scheduled after organ procurement. Artis is facing charges of aggravated battery with a firearm, home invasion, aggravated domestic battery, and no valid FOID card.
