Multiple Incidents on I-65 Leave Pelham Officer Injured
Multiple incidents occurred on I-65 in Alabama, including a vehicle driving southbound that had made contact with the center wall multiple times, resulting in the driver and passenger overdosing on fentanyl. Another vehicle driving the wrong way on I-65 struck two vehicles, injuring the occupants. Meanwhile, a separate driver ignored backed-up traffic and emergency lights, striking and injuring Officer Elizabeth Minter of the Pelham Police Department, who was directing traffic. Officer Minter is in good spirits but has significant injuries and will undergo surgery. The Pelham Police Department is accepting financial contributions to support Officer Minter's medical expenses.
