
Monks’ Peace Walk Triggers Rolling Closures Across Northern Virginia
Buddhist monks' 120-day, 2,300-mile Walk for Peace to D.C. will trigger rolling road closures in Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax counties as the procession moves through Northern Virginia, with 9 a.m.–2 p.m. closures on Cameron and Columbus streets in Old Town Alexandria Monday, routing through Route 1, Crystal Drive and other streets into Marymount University for remarks; Fairfax police will assist and spectators are asked to watch from designated areas while access is restricted during the walk.
