Junior Doctors Leaving NHS for Business and Investment Opportunities Amidst Strikes and Pressure
Junior doctors in the UK are striking for four days over pay restoration and better working conditions. Dr Shivam Sharma, a junior doctor from Birmingham, said he had never seen the NHS this bad, with patients being tended to in hospital corridors and an average waiting time of 12 hours. The British Medical Association (BMA) has asked for a pay rise of 35%, but the government has called the demands "completely unaffordable". The BMA claims staff have seen pay cuts of 26% since 2008. An NHS spokesperson said patients should not be put off from seeking emergency care during strike action.
