Paris raids X offices as probe widens to data extraction and Grok AI
Paris prosecutors raided X's France offices as part of a cyber-crime investigation into alleged unlawful data extraction, image-rights violations and potential links to child-pornography tied to the platform and its Grok AI. The probe, begun in January 2025, has expanded to the platform’s algorithm recommendations, with Elon Musk and former X CEO Linda Yaccarino summoned to hearings in April. X has denied wrongdoing and called the scrutiny politically motivated.
