Auli'i Cravalho Passes the Baton for Live-Action Moana Remake.
Auli'i Cravalho, who voiced Moana in the 2016 animated Disney film, announced on Instagram that she will not be reprising her role in the upcoming live-action version. As an executive producer on the film, she looks forward to finding the next young woman of Pacific Island descent to portray the character. Dwayne Johnson, who voiced Maui in the animated film, will reprise his role and produce the live-action film through his company Seven Bucks Productions.
