Oscar Piastri won the Qatar Grand Prix sprint race after teammate Lando Norris tactically allowed him to pass at the finish line, boosting McLaren's chances in the constructors' championship. Norris initially led the race, helping Piastri fend off George Russell by staying within DRS range. Despite tire struggles, Norris maintained his position to ensure a McLaren 1-2 finish. Charles Leclerc overtook Lewis Hamilton for fifth, while Max Verstappen finished eighth after a challenging start. Zhou Guanyu and Sergio Perez were the only drivers to make pit stops during the race.
