MGMT played their landmark 2007 debut album, Oracular Spectacular, in its entirety for the first time ever at the Just Like Heaven festival in Los Angeles. The album's hits, "Time to Pretend," "Electric Feel," and "Kids," became anthems of an indie generation. MGMT's intentionally uncommercial second album, Congratulations, sold one-third as much as its predecessor and was met with backlash. The band's Just Like Heaven set embodied the freewheeling spirit of the indie sleaze era, complete with interpretive dancers, children's choirs, and papier-mâché bandmates.
MGMT played their debut album Oracular Spectacular in full at the Just Like Heaven festival, including the first performance of "4th Dimension Transition" since 2013. As an encore, they played "Love Always Remains" for the first time in 18 years, a track from their demo albums when they were called the Management.
