On the 20th anniversary of Operation Iraqi Freedom, photographs of the Iraq War have been released. The US carried out its first airstrikes in Iraq on March 20, 2003. The pictures show scenes from the war, including US Marines preparing to cross the Iraqi border, fires burning in and around Saddam Hussein's Council of Ministers, President George W. Bush meeting with his war council, US Marines searching for Iraqi troops, the rescue of US Pfc. Jessica Lynch, and US Marines pulling down a statue of Saddam Hussein.
