Square Enix has revealed new details about the online features in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. The game will include various online modes such as Online Battles, Quickfire Contests, and an Online Shop. Players can compete against others globally, earn rewards, and purchase items to improve their monster wrangling skills. The game releases on December 1 for the Nintendo Switch.
Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon conducted a poll asking fans what online features they would like to see the most, and cross-play emerged as the top choice with 75.5% of the votes. Cross-play is seen as an important feature in fighting games, breaking down platform barriers and extending the lifespan of games. NetherRealm Studios had previously mentioned implementing cross-play in Mortal Kombat 1 but did not provide a specific release date.
Diablo 4 has clans that players can join or create, with up to 150 members. Clans can be customized with a name, title, description, language, label, and banner. Leaders can adjust privacy and permissions, including ranks, applications, promotions, removals, bans, invites, and chat settings. To join a clan, search for one and request to join, or accept an invitation. Diablo 4 is available on multiple platforms.
