Tracy Spiridakos and Jesse Lee Soffer return as Hailey Upton and Jay Halstead for a three-part OneChicago crossover on March 4, kicking off with Chicago Fire, then Chicago Med, and ending with Chicago P.D.; Spiridakos comes back from FBI work and Soffer returns after remaining with the franchise in directing and other roles, as a mid-air emergency unfolds into a larger case spanning the three shows.
NBC has renewed several popular shows for the 2024-25 season, including Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Law & Order, and Law & Order: SVU. The fate of Law & Order: Organized Crime is still uncertain. The network's #OneChicago lineup and Law & Order series are currently experiencing some cast turnover, with new seasons airing on Wednesdays and Thursdays, respectively.
NBC has renewed the entire OneChicago franchise, including Chicago Fire for Season 12, Chicago P.D. for Season 11, and Chicago Med for Season 9. All three shows are down slightly in total audience but remain strong in the demo. The hiatus of nearly a month is unprecedented this late in the season. Dick Wolf's Law & Order-verse has also been renewed for the 2023-24 season.
